Camp Ramapo for Children: Integrating Young Adults with Asperger Syndrome with Typical Peers

  Regardless of challenges, all youth want the same things: to learn, have friends, feel valued, and experience success.
For many young adults On the spectrum, especially those with Asperger Syndrome, comfortable interaction with typically developing peers is more a dream than a reality. These young adults need safe opportunities to interact with typically developing peers.

Roadblocks on the Path to Independence

The Staff Assistant Experience: Supporting Young Adults in Transition is a residential transition-to-independence Program for young adults ages 18-25 with social, emotional and learning challenges. At the Rhinebeck Campus, Ramapo for Children Helps Participants develop Independent Living Skills, Social Skills and Job Skills in an Integrated and Inclusive environment.
