Police recruit denied entry over daughter's autism deemed a healthcare and community services burden

SHATTERED DREAMS: His daughter had not met the legislated health requirements which was partly to restrict public expendditure on healthcare and community services. Despite his daughter having 2 jobs and volunteering with the Scout and Guide movement; and planning to study hairdressing... The family has been denied visas by the Immigration Department. It is one of several decisions disability advocates have branded "discriminatory".
