If your child is more Valuable than your home, car and other possessions, Sign this Education Petition: Cameras in special needs room for safety

Cameras are everywhere!

Local streets, interstate highways, almost any type of retail store, restaurants, banks, hospitals, on buildings, ATM machines, sports arenas, parks, homes, cars, pools, vacation retreat facilities,  school hallways and playgrounds, on our smartphones and other hand-held devices.

You think of it, or a place and there are probably cameras monitoring, surveillancing, logging, notating our every activity --- around the world!

MY CHILD IS MORE VALUABLE THAN MY car!
Heard of GPS?

Ever heard of 'Court TV'?

The U.S. Supreme Court has considered permitting cameras in the courtroom for certain cases.

SO WHY ARE CAMERAS NOT MONITORING IN CLASSROOMS
It seems 'Big Brother' is watching us everywhere except in the classroom.

We've heard all of the reasons why?  Privacy, minors, parental consent, civil rights, invasion of privacy, hindrance to true teaching and pure learning, etc...

Because my child has Autism, I'm encouraged to place a ID microchip in his body, lojack him, tag his clothes, school bag, put a medical alert bracelet on him, notify law enforcement and emergency response teams about his developmental disability, as well as, post a notice on my front door and petition for a street sign.  So far, I can bear all of these except the microchip!

That's right!  Parents of kids who are disabilities, are non-verbal, have communication speech/language difficulties, are physically, mentally, intellectually challenged and other developmental delays do take pictures of their children before and after school and other activities.

So why not encourage cameras in the classroom?

I've been in schools that have large glass on the doors and/or instead of hallway walls, there are glass walls for each classroom.  From the hallway, you can see everything except the bathroom.  But, you just need to get permission from the School to be in the area.  And you need to be at the school in order to see your child learning and engaging.

MY CHILD IS MORE VALUABLE THAN my home!

Anyway, as a Parent of a Child with Special Needs, I would like to have cameras in the classroom.  I want cameras setup for off-site monitoring from my digital devices(smartphones, tablets, laptop, iPad, etc...) JUST LIKE HOME SECURITY MONITORING SYSTEMS DO!

MY CHILD IS MORE VALUABLE THAN my possessions!

Many Parents of Students with Disabilities and Special Needs agree.

My story is only one of the many of both physical and verbal abuse as well as neglect taking place in special needs classrooms all over the country....
